HELP: SD HC card - PINOYDEN

guys, kakabili ko lang nitong micro sd ko.. 16gb.. pero pag iview ko yung properties eh 14.65 gb na lang.. bakit ganun?

that's just normal for all storage devices

file system occupies certain amount of blocks optimized for your type of media, like if you use portable hdd on windows, ntfs is a better choice with good amount of read and write times and longer hdd life

fat occupies smaller blocks compared to that of hdds with ntfs, a little slower so the chips wont be toasted while doing tremendous read and write ops

and dont forget that os creates system partition within your card so it will be able to identify the file system it is using

that, all in all occupies the amount you see missing in your card

my 200GB portable hdd has 186GB usable space, with ntfs
so do my 4GB sdhc has 3.75 usable space, with fat
