pano ilipat ang joomla files kasama ang sql na walang nababago? kc pag nililipat ko ung files eh nababago eh...gagawa nmn ako ng bago...

deployed locally...ask ko lang...wamp server gmit ko...ok lang ba if imove ko ung wamp folder mismo? ung wamp kc almost the same as xampp eh... indi ba xa mag eerror???

wamp pala yan..xamp kasi ginagamit k0 and hindi pa ak0 nakagamit ng wamp..Malamang hindi yang gagana yang plan0 m0,saka kung bu0ng wamp f0lder masyad0ng malake naman size nyan,kung nakagamit ka ng xamp c0py m0 lng yung file m0 under ng htd0cs saka ung database file m0 under ng mysql f0lder then data na f0lder anjan y0ng database m0..hindi kasi k0 gumagamit ng wamp per0 kung parehas lang?my clue ka na sigur0 jan

Uploading the site on a web server

1. Login into the Cpanel of the server
2. Create a database on the server
3. Export the database from your computer
4. Import the database in the server
5. Change the configuration file of the local website as per your account‟s details
6. Login into the server using an FTP software
7. Upload the Joomla! website on the server using FTP



1.Refer to the account settings provided to you by the server, and you will find a link to
your Cpanel.
Log in with the Cpanel username and password given in
the account details.

Step 2: Create a database on the server

Once you are logged into the Cpanel, click on the “MySQL databases” link in the
databases list. You can enter any name for the new
database.

if i enter newdatabase

it shows like this "b12_554546_newdatabase"

"b12_554546" is computer-generated prefix.

Step 3: Export the joomla database from your computer

Open your local PHPmyAdmin
by going to
localhost/phpmyadmin or
wherever your local
phpmyadmin is installed.
In the databases list, select the
database in which you have
installed Joomla!Once you select the database,
you will be taken to the control
screen of that database.
Now you will see a button named
„Export‟ in the top tabs. Click it.
You will be presented with all the settings to export the database. Forget about the rest
of the settings. Just tick on the „save as file‟ box and click on „Go.

Your browser will give you an SQL file which you have to store on your computer.
Remember where you store it, because you have to give it to the server‟s PHPmyAdmin.






Step 4: Import the database in the server
Go to the cpanel of the web host and click on „phpMyAdmin‟
in the „Databases‟ list. Then, click on the link for connecting
to this database.



You will be taken to the web host‟s phpMyAdmin. Click on the „Import‟ button on the top
tab.
Click on the „Choose‟ button and select the file that you had saved in step#3. Click on
„Go‟, and you will be presented with a success message.


Step 5: Change the configuration of your local Joomla! Website as per the web
hosting account and database details
Go to your local Joomla! folder. Make a backup copy of the configuration.php file. Now
open the configuration.php file using WordPad


You will need to change the following lines of this file :
var $log_path = 'C:\\xampp\\htdocs\\joomla\\logs';
var $tmp_path = 'C:\\xampp\\htdocs\\joomla\\tmp';
var $host = 'localhost';
var $user = 'joomla_user';
var $db = 'database_for_joomla';
var $password = 'password';


as per the details of your web hosting account.
The $log_path will now be the „document root‟ path as given by the web host
appended with /logs in case of unix-based web hosts, and \logs in case of
windows-based web hosts.

The value for $host will be the „MySQL Hostname‟ as given by the web host
The value for $user will be the „MySQL Username‟ as given by the web host
The value for $db will be the name of the database you created in step#4
The value for $password will be the „MySQL Password‟ as given by the web host
Hence, our new configuration file will look like this:


var $log_path = '/home/vol4/byethost/b12_554546/htdocs/logs';
var $tmp_path = '/home/vol4/byethost/b12_554546/htdocs/tmp';
var $host = 'sql1.example.com';
var $user = 'zoka_1988637';
var $db = 'b12_554546_newdatabase';

Step 6: Login into the server using an FTP software

run the ftp sofware and enter the FTP details given to
you by the web host in the top bar and say Quickconnect.


Step 7:Upload the Joomla! Website on the server using FTP

Now that you have logged into the server, you will be shown the directory structure on
the server in the right column, and your local computer‟s folder structure in the left
column.

First, go to the folder in
which Joomla! is stored
on your computer in thn
left column, and then
double click on the
htdocs folder on the right
column to enter in the
htdocs folder. You now
have to transfer all the
files of joomla in this
htdocs folder.


Doing this is very simple.
Just select all the joomla
files in the left column,
right-click on the
selection, and click on
„upload‟.
The transfer will take lots
of time, since there are
thousands of files it
needs to transfer.


Finally, you website is uploaded and ready to use on the internet. All you have to do now
is go to the URL of your website, and you will see it in action!

l0cate 0n y0ur xamp cp and run apache and mysql, 0n y0ur br0wser type localhost,apparently the next thing is y0ull g0nna ch00se english language,,l0cate at the left side hit phpmyadmin link and it will brings y0u s0me gui interface,first y0u must create y0ur database name,uname and pw  that will be needed during the j0omla installati0n,create y0ur db by typing y0ur desird dbname 0n the space pr0vided and hit g0,next,create y0ur uname and pw by clicking privileges link make sure t0 check all privileges and hit g0..next,l0cate 0n y0ur xamp f0lder and htd0cs direct0ry,create a subf0lder, lets assume y0ur f0lder will be joomla, paste the extracted j0omla installer,finally g0 t0 y0ur br0wser and type localhost/joomla

same pr0cedure lang din kung magbackup ka ng files m0..punta ka sa c0ntr0l panel din mysql din backup m0 y0ng database..next naman y0ng files m0..usually l0cated sa htd0cs, again by using ftp,select all y0ur files fr0m y0ur rem0te site,then d0wnl0ad..then reupl0ad y0ur files and database kung sa ka na mang server..
