Pacquiao vs. Marquez 5 - Possible daw! - PINOYDEN

After Juan Manuel Marquez scored a huge knockout victory against storied rival Manny Pacquiao, a fifth fight between the two is in order.

There aren't many scenarios in boxing where a fifth fight between two competitors is warranted, but the rivalry between these two has been the perfect storm for that exact scenario.

Anyone dubious of matching Pacquiao and Marquez up for a fourth time looked foolish after the fourth fight delivered yet another intense performance from both men. Although the bout only lasted six rounds, it had 12 rounds worth of action packed into half the time.

Marquez started off the action with a knockdown in Round 3 that would foreshadow the knockout to come. Pacquiao stormed back with a knockdown of his own in Round 5 and then proceeded to put Marquez in trouble with dangerous flurries to end the round.

It appeared Pac-Man would be in control from that point on. He was consistently the first man to the punch and did serious damage to Marquez before a perfectly timed overhand right sent Pacquiao to the canvas and ended the fight.

It was a fight that fans will not soon forget, and that's why the boxers need to do it again.

On one hand, it does seem preposterous to have anyone fight five times. After all, we've now seen these guys in the ring for over 40 rounds.

On the other hand, who else is there for these two to fight?

After watching the fourth fight, there are plenty of people who would love to see these guys go at it again. Any hopes of a dream fight between Floyd Mayweather and Pacquiao are lost. A rematch with Timothy Bradley for Pacquiao doesn't seem all that appealing, and at 39, Marquez is unlikely to get a push for a rematch with Mayweather.

Why not let these two duke it out one last time to add another chapter to this historic rivalry?

As Dan Wetzel of Yahoo! Sports pointed out after the fight, Pacquiao has already alluded to a fifth fight with Marquez and it'll be a lucrative one for both fighters.



After finally notching a win against Pacquiao, the only remaining question is whether or not Marquez would agree to fight Pac-Man one last time. After Pacquiao agreed to let him get one more crack with no wins in three attempts, the answer to that question must be yes.

With plenty of money to be made and the shot at taking part in one of boxing's most historic rivalries, we could very well be headed to a fifth fight between the two, and that's something to get excited about.

manny is leading by 1 in all scorecards up until the k.o. im not going to be surprised if he will be pushing for a 5th thinking this is just a matter of getting caught while being ahead.


But i doubt this will come to fruition, the way jinkee reacted i dont think hell let manny wear a glove sooner.

pacman-dinamita fight sooner or later it will become a teleserye... For the never ending rematch... But i think the 5th fight will be the grand final'e...

hindi pa tapos ang boksing ,nakikita ko pa panu natalo si pakyaw ,dapat mabura na sa next nila

natsambahan lang si idol manny.. bawi na lang sa fifth! 

sana si pakyaw naman ang makatsamba sa 5th fight nila,,pero sabi nila pag minalas ka Malamang may kasunud pa yun?

Wew.. if manalo siguro si manny there would be 6th sana manalo ang pride of our country.
