Up! Added "Why Jailbreak?"
Devs behind all the jailbreak that we are currently enjoying are seriously against any form of piracy and if you follow them on twitter you may already know that they are currently working on ways on how to stop Installous and other cydia tweak devs who are currently distributing cracked paid tweaks and applications. I myself is guilty of this, but I don't think they will be able to stop it, considering that any form of restriction on the cydia server will go against the freedom that it stands for. Cydia was created as an alternative to apple's app store which is surrounded by walls, if saurik the owner of cydia imposes restriction to repos being uploaded to his server, it will defeat the purpose of having the freedom he sought for.
Since we are living in a developing country I don't think all of us iOS users here have the resources to buy all app from the app store and tweaks from cydia. First, mahirap kumuha ng credit card, at hindi lahat ay qualified to get one.
Pero, apple has a different plan, they are rumored to have signed a contract with a third-party distributor to developing countries currently partnered with a lot of major telecoms to sell prepaid iPhone 3GS unlocked for as low as $250 to $300 to compete with Mid-Android devices, that is roughly the price of a second hand 3GS. So, instead of building a cheap iPhone, they retained iPhone 3GS instead of ending its life. thumbsup:
