In this thread, we can share tutorials and tips about playing piano/keyboard/electric organ using chords which was requested by few people in "Songtrip Tambayan" thread

It is quite different from reading of notes so we may exclude it here unless it is needed to elaborate certain ideas related to the topic. The chords alone is very broad so tiyaga lang po sa pagbabasa.
the picture below is considered as one octave. If I know, it is called octave because it has eight white keys.. ( parang octopus na may 8 tentacles )

the keys are marked with letters and symbols representing it's notes. The letters below represent the white keys ( C D E F G A B C ) also known as ( Do Re Mi Fa Sol La Ti Do ) forming one octave.
The above letters and symbols represent the black keys. If you noticed, 1 black key has two names. It is necessary because it might be read as sharp ( #-half step higher ) or flat ( b-half step lower ) dependingly.
memorize this! It is a must!

anyways, may technique naman para diyan.

Kahit yung white keys lang imemorize natin then remember the pattern na kapag nasa kanan ng specific key yung black key, sharp (#) yun, kapag nasa kaliwa naman, flat (b). Just like sa guitar tabs.
moving on..

number your fingers from 1-5.
1-thumb, 2-index, 3-middle, 4-ring, 5-pinky.. Just like the image below
On the above image, the red dots are the keys you have to play using the numbers 1,3,5 fingers. The illustrated chord is " C major ". It is a triad chord a.k.a triple-note chord. Base sa given name, tatlo yung pinipindot na nota or keys

take a look at this ( below )
the left hand is used. The shaded keys form a "G major" chord. I suggest, practice the right hand first in playing the keys and get familiarize with it.
Intro palang yan
since alam na natin kung paano pipindutin ang keys to form 1 chord, maybe masusundan na natin to.
I've collected charts that could help us out.. Just like the above images, we'll play the red dots using the 1-3-5 fingers in the illustrations below..
I suggest that you focus on familiarizing yourself with the major chords.. Why? Kasi dito tayo magbi base pagdating sa ibang chords.
For instance, try to compare the "C major" with "C minor".. Transfer the number 3 finger (middle) half note lower. How? Study the picture above
Punta naman tayo sa sharps and flats. See the illustration below.
Compare the chords with sharp symbols (#) from simple Major chords. All keys are half note higher e.g. "F#major=[F#+A#+C#]" vs. "F major=[F+A+
C]". Ganun din sa ibang chords.
Now, can we combine the rules of sharps and minors? Yes, e.g. "F#minor=[F#+A+C#]". From "Fmajor", itinaas ko ang 1-3-5 keys ( to make it sharp) then ibinaba ulit ng half note yung number 3 key ( to change it to minor ) visualize.
next..
Here are the other rules. We can use it as pattern.

It may be difficult na imemorize lahat ng chords but it is not necessary naman. Study the major chords first because it is a key for progress. After that, review the rules of different chord types.
I suggest na magstart tayo sa isang favorite song, get it's chords then ito muna ang unahing ipractice.
share your tips and tutorials too! You may upload videos or recordings containg tips.

Im not sure if you have already an idea about my tip, am not a profesional pianist but i have idea about music especially playing guitar
Do=C, Re=D, Mi=E etc. . .
pag kabisado muna ang C wich is do hindi kana mahirapan. . .
parang sa Guitar, kung nasa
C stepback half fret goin down to B in a lower key if am not wro (sa mga profesional jan paki correct na lang po ako kung may mali)
C ka adjust half fret going to C#/Db
C adjust 1fret going to D,
D adjust half fret goin to D#/Eb,
D adjust 1fret goin to E.,
and E goin to F is different among others exept B goin to C,
E adjust half fret only goin to F ,unlike others are adjusted by 1fret exept the other 1 that i had ment. wich is B goin to C
E#/fb/B#/Cb are unecessarry. . .
F step half fret goin to F#/Gb
F step 1fret goin to G,
G step half goin G#
G step 1fret goin to A,
A step 1fret goin to B,
B step half fret goin to C wich is the other one that i've compared to <E goin to F>. . .
C step half fret goin to C#/Db (entering the higher key) if am not mistaken
hindi po ako pianista pero naka buo ako ng dalwang paborito ko kanta <parting time & dream about you > gamit ang teknik na to at sana makadagdag idea sayo ts
